"After 18 years serving as a leader in the senior living industry, I recognized an opportunity to design and build an innovative software application to support person-centered care. Dementia care is my passion, and it’s also personal. As an adult child, alongside my six siblings, we experienced the benefits of person-centered care first-hand with our Mom's journey through dementia. LifeStory ConnectionTM can benefit individuals in all sectors of healthcare."
Tom has been serving the senior living industry for more than 20 years with a focus in Dementia Care, Program Development, Environmental Safety & Security, Compliance, and Disaster Preparedness. Tom's career includes more than 15 years with Atria Senior Living as their VP of Memory Care Operations as well as roles in compliance and HR. In 2017, at Atria, Tom co-authored a music program for persons living with dementia that earned California Assisted Living Associations "Elevate Award." In 2018, Tom transitioned to Trilogy Health Services in the Midwest to lead a team in the design and launch of their “BFF” Memory Care Program. In 2023, Tom was a speaker at the Alabama Assisted Living Association Conference and the Indiana Health Care Association / Indiana Center for Assisted Living Convention & Expo. Tom has been a licensed Administrator since 2006 and an active Best Friends™ Master Trainer since 2013. Today, Tom is a consultant serving the senior living industry and the founder of LifeStory Connection.TM
